🌿 Weekly Blog: Hitting the Wall (But Still Moving Forward)

Well… here we are again. Second week in a row that I’ve left my blog until Saturday afternoon, and I’m not going to lie—I’m usually much more on the ball than this. I’m not sure what’s happened these last two weeks, but wow, I am tired. I feel like I’ve just hit a wall.

Boo hoo! 😂

I’ve been so busy lately that I think it’s all just caught up with me. I’m constantly looking for new content, trying to keep my photography page interesting, sorting the 2026 calendar, and getting everything ready for the Saturday craft market.

Oh, and did I mention I have a craft fair on Saturday 22nd November, at the library in Hemsworth, plus work going into the gallery displays in the libraries this month? I genuinely haven’t stopped. 😂

Now that I’m actually typing this out, I can see it clearly. I’ve been questioning why I feel this way for days, and the simple truth is… I’ve just been doing a lot.

🎨 Projects on the Go

On top of everything else, I’ve been working on:

🔹 Getting printing workflows sorted

🔹 Planning a new limited edition print launch (two sizes, signed certificate of authenticity included)

🔹 Heading out with the camera because Autumn is pure magic right now—texture, colour, atmosphere, everything! 🍂📸

But then the rubbish weather hit. Rain. Gloom. Early darkness. And here’s something a lot of you will relate to:

I struggle in the darker months. I get hit with that seasonal emotional drop—yes, it’s a real thing—S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder). The sudden shift from golden autumn days to grey skies can really take the wind out of your sails.

🛠️ The Good News…

Even though it’s been a heavy couple of weeks, things are moving forward:

✔ Orders are in for the latest prints

✔ The gallery display is sorted for the month

✔ I am ready for the Christmas fair

✔ The limited edition prints have been ordered and are on the way

Now it’s just a matter of pulling it all together. Hopefully it won’t be too taxing, and everything will go smoothly. (Famous last words, right? 😂)
