Finding Meaning in the Print — Why I Don’t Frame My Work
Share

When people visit my website or my stall, they often ask why I don’t sell my prints framed. It’s a fair question — after all, most of what you see online these days is mounted, matted, or ready to hang.
For me though, there’s something quite special about keeping things simple. Each print I sell carries a piece of my story — a moment of calm, a breath of fresh air, or a quiet place that brought me peace when I needed it most. And I want the person who buys it to feel that same connection, in their own way.
On my website, my prints are sold unframed and unmounted — giving you complete freedom to choose what suits your space and style. But if you visit me in person at one of my markets, it’s a little different. My larger prints come mounted and ready to frame, while smaller prints are presented in strut mount frames, perfect for a desk or shelf display.
Leaving my online prints unframed gives you the chance to make them part of your world — whether that’s matching your home décor, your mood, or your personality. It becomes uniquely yours.

More Than Just a Print
Every image I take comes with a story. Sometimes it’s a peaceful walk through Frickley, a moment spent watching deer in the early light, or the stillness of a Yorkshire woodland in autumn. When I send out a print, it’s not just paper and ink — it’s a memory, a piece of that stillness captured forever.
I take care with every order: each print is wrapped by hand, with a thank-you note from me, because your support means the world. It’s that personal connection that matters most to me — not mass production, just genuine photography shared from the heart.

Your Space, Your Way
I’ve always believed that art should fit around your life, not the other way around.
By keeping my prints unframed on the website, I give you the freedom to make that choice — to bring calm, colour, or meaning into your home in a way that suits you.
So, whether you order online or pick something up from me at a market, you’re not just choosing a print — you’re choosing a moment, a memory, and a piece of peace to make your own.
