The Anti-Climax Nobody Talks About
Share
Omg... why does my head play mind games?
Does anyone else struggle with what I call the anti-climax?
For weeks I've been planning these greeting cards. I wanted them to be different. Not just another photo on a card, but something that combined my love of nature with a subtle touch of magic.

I spent hours thinking, designing, changing things, and imagining the moment they would finally arrive.
In my head, it was simple.
The box would arrive. I'd open it. I'd smile and think, "Wow... I've actually done it."
Well... that's exactly what happened.
I opened the box and my first thought really was...
"Wow!"

Then, almost instantly, my brain changed the conversation.
"Will anyone actually buy them?"
"Are they good enough?"
"Have I made a mistake?"
"What if nobody wants them?"
It's horrible how quickly excitement can turn into self-doubt.
The cards haven't changed. The quality hasn't changed. The idea hasn't changed.
Only my own thoughts have.

Right now, I'm struggling to get them uploaded to my website because that little voice in my head keeps whispering about failure before I've even given them a chance.
I hate feeling like this.
But I've learned something over the years, especially since my stroke. Progress isn't about never feeling afraid. It's about carrying on despite the fear.

So that's exactly what I'm going to do.
I'm going to get them on the website.
People can decide for themselves whether they like them or not.
Because if I never press that publish button, they've already failed... and not because the cards weren't good enough, but because I let fear make the decision for me.
Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn't creating something.
It's believing it's worthy of being seen.
So here's to pushing through the anti-climax... one small step at a time.
