The Woods Tried to Drown My Camera… Again”

Well… the blog is late again.

This social media lark is a full-time job, ya know!

It’s crazy — but that’s a whole different blog 😂

As some of you know, I’ve been working on a little project with the trail camera, trying to get some decent footage of the roe deer. It all started off so promising and I thought, “Here we go, this is going to be a good one!”

Then the weather decided otherwise.

The rain has been relentless and the woods have basically turned into a swamp 😂 Getting in there has been a challenge in itself!

I’ve had the camera in the woods twice now and, on both occasions, the water level has been about an inch below the camera. I honestly don’t know if I’ve been extremely lucky… or if someone’s looking out for me 😂

I’ve tried a few new spots since, but then we had a night where the temperature dipped below zero and completely ate the batteries — no footage at all from that one. So now it’s just a waiting game to see what’s moving around in the different areas.

Although… I did catch a cat on one of the clips. At first glance I thought it was a fox! Slightly disappointing, but funny all the same. You really never know what’s going to wander past in the woods 😂

I’m going to try and put together a funny little reel with the cat footage, and with a bit of luck I’ll get some more videos of the local wildlife soon. Fingers crossed 🤞 But for now, I think I’m going to have to stay out of the woods — they’re more like a lake

 at the minute!
